All MOSES leaders/clergy/core team members are expected to recruit new leaders for Gamaliel National Training, in consultation with the MOSES organizers.
MOSES Executive Board will confirm and approve the participating leaders before final registration.
The National Leadership Training Committee will register all participating leaders, make travel arrangements, provide information on training to interested persons and be integral to the recruitment process.
Organizers and others involved in the recruitment process are asked to respect registration deadlines and submit names and contact information of attendees to the NLT Committee in a timely manner. |
In order to determine whether a candidate is suitable for training, each individual is required to meet with a sponsor prior to training.
The sponsor may be a mentor from the organization who has previously attended training or a MOSES organizer.
The meeting will provide participating leaders with a brief overview of what the training entails and what goals should be set for, during and after training. |
In order keep costs at a minimum for all participating leaders, MOSES will arrange group travel to and from training whenever possible.
Congregations will be asked to contribute a small donation towards the overall cost of travel.
In the event that a participating leader prefers to make alternate travel arrangements, these costs must be paid for by that individual. |
Individuals/congregations are required to pay $100 toward the total cost for each participant.
PLEASE NOTE: A $100 cancellation fee will be charged to individuals who opt not to attend.
MOSES will cover the remaining training and shared room lodging costs; however, individuals desiring single rooms will need to pay the extra charge. |
The MOSES organization views training leaders as an investment and trains its leaders with intent, that upon return from training, new skills are to be actively applied in the work of MOSES.
MOSES believes that this involvement will help to build a stronger congregation, community, and organization.
Involvement in MOSES activities is not limited to, but may include the following forms: Participation in a MOSES Task Force (Transportation, Fundraising, Issues, Core Teams, National Leadership Training, Health Care, Education, Civil Rights, etc.) Attend MOSES events and recruit others to attend MOSES events. |
